De Hosenschul Die Häschenschule - Erzgebirgisch
To mark the 100th anniversary of the first publication of the "Bunny School", "Hasenhans" and "Hasengrete" are now hopping through the Erzgebirge. The classic children's book, which has delighted many generations since its publication in 1924, has now been expertly translated into Erzgebirgisch for the first time. The Zukunftsregion Zwickau and Edition Tintenfaß held a competition for the purpose of this translation and we are delighted to be able to present the translation by Uwe Seltmann. With all the original illustrations by Fritz Koch-Gotha (1877-1956). The edition was sponsored by Zukunftsregion Zwickau e. V., Regionalmanagement LEADER-Region Zwickauer Land.

In 2024, the “Bunny School” celebrates its 100th birthday! We present the classic in Sütterlin script, a variant of the old German cursive script. Named after Berlin graphic artist Ludwig Sütterlin (1865-1917), Sütterlin script was introduced in Prussia in 1915 and was used until it was banned by the National Socialists in 1941. To make reading and learning easier, the text appears in the Antiqua script used today as well as in Sütterlin. With all original illustrations!
